ROSELYN
SANCHEZ AND TEGO CALDERON ADD THEIR LATIN FLAVOR TO THE "PARTY
SOUTH FLORIDA STYLE" IN 2004 FEDEX ORANGE BOWL HALFTIME SHOW
Miami, FL (December 9, 2003) – The spectacular latin star
ROSELYN SANCHEZ and recent Latin Grammy nominee TEGO CALDERON
will add the Latin flavor to the FedEx Orange Bowl Half Time Show
on January 1, 2004, at Pro Player Stadium. Both artists have confirmed
that they will perform in the Orange Bowl Game’s world-class
Halftime Show, "Party South Florida Style". Roselyn
Sanchez and Tego Calderon will join the stars of MTV’s reality
series "The Newlyweds", Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.
The
FedEx Orange Bowl Halftime Show is an annual entertainment extravaganza
replete with lights, smoke effects, fireworks, and most importantly,
great musical performances. The halftime show displays some of
the country’s best talent, as over three thousand performers—dancers,
majorettes, flag corps, cheerleaders and band members—from
across the nation converge in South Florida. This year’s
halftime show, which is themed "Party South Florida Style",
will include even brighter lights, extra hip-shakin’ excitement,
and more memorable theatrics.
On
New Years’ Eve, fans can get a sneak-peek of the excitement,
even before game day. The Orange Bowl Committee will host a Beach
Bash from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Hollywood Beach. A "teaser"
to the halftime show, Roselyn and Tego, along with Jessica and
Nick and the other halftime talent and select local bands from
the South Florida area, will perform in front of the thousands
who gather to party at Hollywood Beach for the Orange Bowl Beach
Bash.ROSELYN SANCHEZ is presently one of the hottest rising Latin
stars. This Puerto Rican born dancer, actress and singer has shared
the screen with Chris Tucker & Jackie Chan in Rush Hour 2,
with Cuba Gooding Jr. in Boat Trip, with John Travolta in Basic
and most recently in the romantic comedy Chasing Papi. Now Roselyn
is launching her debut album and her single "Amor Amor"
tops the Hispanic radio charts around the country.
TEGO
CALDERON is Puerto Rico’s hip hop top seller with over 200,000
copies sold of his first album El Abayarde. This record earned
him a Latin Grammy nomination. TEGO did a duet with Roselyn Sanchez
in "Amor Amor", adding the urban sounds of reggaeton.
The thousands of fans who pack Pro Player Stadium on January 1,
2004, as well as the millions across the nation who watch the
game and festivities on ABC, will definitely be entertained.
The
Orange Bowl Committee is proud once again to include the Latin
talent in their FedEx Orange Bowl Half Time Show. Past year’s
halftime shows have included outstanding performances by talents
like Luis Fonsi, and Grammy winners Juanes and Olga Tañon.
