RECEIVES NOMINATION FOR PREMIO LO NUESTRO AND IS SELECTED FOR
A BMI LATIN AWARD
Miami, FL (January 15, 2004) – JULIO Iglesias Jr. has began the
new year with a double reason to celebrate. The singer has been
nominated as Best New Artist of the Year in the pop genre for
his album TERCERA DIMENSION (Warner Music Latina) and has been
selected to opt for a BMI Latin Award.
Premio Lo Nuestro, considered as the oldest
and most popular Latin music award program in the U.S., recognizes
the best achievements in the Latin music industry. JULIO Iglesias
Jr faces Alex Ubago, David Bisbal, Roselyn Sánchez, Tiziano
Ferro, Ana Cristina, Axe Bahía, Frankie J, Héctor,
Juan Fernando Velasco, Ana Cristina, Los Tres, Daniel René,
Mia, Nadia, Yahir, Cotagious, Erika and Linda Bandry for the award.
Winners will be selected for the first time ever by voting public
via internet through www.univision.com. The results will be announced
during a live telecast on February 26.
The BMI Latin Awards recognize the best composers of the year,
and JULIO is competing for the song "Los Demas", his
first single taken from the album TERCERA DIMENSION. The 11th
Annual BMI Latin Awards will take place in Puerto Rico on March
16th 2004.
